The President of Human Fraternity received the owners of Verdi in the Oasis of Mercy

The New Cdministrative Capital of Cairo - August 27, 2022

Monsignor Dr. Yoannis Lahzi Gaid, President of the Human Fraternity Foundation and the former Personal Secretary of His Holiness Pope Fransis, welcomed Dr. Kamal Toubia and Mr. Nabil Toubia, during their visit to the Oasis of Pietà for orphans project in the New Administrative Capital (see photo).

Dr. Kamal Toubia, Chairman of the Egyptian Italian Company for the manufacture and production of ceramic (Ceramic Verdi), and Mr. Nabil Toubia, Vice President and Managing Director of the company, which works in the manufacture of ceramic and porcelain for walls, floors, and decoration tiles. Ceramica Verdi started working in the Egyptian market since 2008 and now  one of the leaders company in this field not only in Egypt but in the Middle East.

After they visited the project and listened to a full demonstration, they have listened to the objectives of the project and how it will provide the children with a unique hosting service that will let the children feel the warm of family meanwhile to teach them the best values of life. The  Oasis of Pietà will safe a hight quality education for children whatsoever will prepare them to enter the labor market and rely on themselves in the future.

Dr. Kamal Toubia and Mr. Nabil Toubia kindly pledged to provide all the needs related to the ceramics of the children’s rooms, in a kind sign that confirms the interest of businessmen in general and Ceramica Verdi in particular in helping charitable projects and support social initiatives.

Monsignor. Yoannis Lahzi Gaid, President of the Foundation, expressed his sincere thanks to them, stressing that their names were placed among the list of benefactors whose names will be engraved on the Foundation's logo plaque - which is implemented in the mosaic - to remain immortal among the names of all those who contributed and contribute to this charitable work and to building a culture of human Fraternity with actions before words.

The Human Fraternity Foundation is based on the Human Fraternity Document signed by His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019.

The Human Fraternity Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization whose mission is to support and strengthen human fraternity and to spread the values and principles of the Human Fraternity Document by helping the needy, the poor, and the sick, spreading a culture of brotherhood and coexistence, working in the field of childhood and motherhood, and caring for orphans, the elderly, and the disabled, free of discrimination, exclusion, or preference based on race, color, or gender. The Foundation is currently working on the implementation and management of three projects: The Oasis of Mercy for Orphans - Bambino Gesù Maternity and Childhood Hospital - Human Fraternity School for People of Determination, all three projects are located in the new administrative capital.
